About
the Coastalfields Day Camps
The
Coastalfields Day Camps were established to provide a fun, educational farm
adventure for adults, children and families.
Unlike classes at the
Day
Camp programs are designed for children, adults and teams of children and
adults and are provided in short terms (one or two days), medium terms (one or
two weeks) and one long term (year long).
They
are great ways for children and adults to see how farms work and the food, fuel
and electricity that farms produce. The
memories and healthy lifestyle from your days at our farm will last a lifetime!
What
to Wear?
All
students who attend more than two days will receive a FREE Coastalfields
T-Shirt or Long Sleeved Shirt (depending on the season) for their comfort.
All
students are required to wear long pants and closed toe shoes (even in the heat
of the summer). Students are encouraged
but not required to bring suitable shirts and jackets to prepare for the
weather (the weather changes quickly between hot, cold, moist and dry),
protection against mosquitoes (we recommend bug baffler shirts – mosquito
netting you can wear), sunscreen and protective eye wear. Students are also encouraged to bring a
canteen or other water holding equipment, and at least 4-6 liters of water.

All
materials required for the classes are included in tuition!
TERMS: Programs are
scheduled year round: contact us for a schedule. Each day’s program is 4 hours long. There is so much to do on the farm, Winter,
Summer, Spring and Autumn! Classes are
kept small, for superior interaction and participation in all activities.
PROGRAMS: There are
five learning programs at the Coastalfields Agricultural Day Camps! Programs are designed for Children (ages 6-
12), Adults (over the age of 12) and Adults and Children (ages 3 and up). Whether designed for adults or children, the
programs cover the same material – but in different ways to accommodate the
different ways that children and adults learn.
